Hi there. Before I start with anything, let's congrats myself for staying active as a blogger for the past four years! What a road. Let's see if I can make it to a decade. I'll be as old as Santa Claus then. Lol..
Anyway, on a serious note, I think most people from Sarawak and Sabah experienced this if they had a conversation with a fellow Malaysian from the Peninsular, e.g:

Or as experienced by myself when I accompany my dear friend, Hamid, buying some fresh fruits at Plaza Alam Sentral, I sat with a Mak Cik and she asked me:

"You pakai cawat je ke kat sane?"
"Pergi mane-mane mesti kene pakai sampan ke?"

You do not know whether to feel offended or amused. It is kinda funny but dumb at the same time. I do not have stern opinion on this thing. I think one opinion is as valuable as the brain oneself. Nak tanya sikit kepade fellow Malayan, ada ke terjumpa orang Sabah dan Sarawak yang said almost the same tone? If so, I think this is a Malaysian's syndrome.
