Being a Receptionist
In case you don't know, for the past five months, i was working as a receptionist in a hotel in Miri. I was going to the interview with the expectations that i wouldn't get the job since they want people with experience and i got none. But then, they called me and i got the job. I was going with the flow as i still figuring out my career path.
It was a great experience. My colleagues are fantastic, although at first we bermasam muka cause they thought i ni sombong. I can't help to have an arrogant face though. And in the end, they just can't wait to work with me. Berebut nak sama shift. Berebut nak my babies lagi tu. Macam macam. But paling best, i can be who i am when i'm with them as they all are open minded about it. Maybe sebab dorang ni muda lagi (i'm 7th oldest out of 15).
Until recently, i resigned since i got a job at new place and i won't tell you about it yet. I love working there except when there's difficult customer (mostly the customer are nice, just one or two yg difficult) and you get slapped with a warning letter instead of being appreciated for your hardwork. Disini, tabiat tuding menuding tu very strong. Lack of team spirit, I must say. And then if your float money didn't match, you sorang (kalau u cashier) yang kena tanggung semua tu and i was lucky, sepanjang jadi cashier, tak pernah short my money. Colleague pun wonder why sebab dorang kadang2 sampai 300+ short.
Yesterday was my last day of working and back being jobless again today until the day i report for duty at a new career path. :)
