LANGKAWI ISLANDS : A Paradise Visit
I have never thought that coming to Langkawi will be reality, but hey, I was there! For this trip, there are four of us which is me, Sira Batcha, Papa Poret and Tita Charles. We was there for three days and here is the chronicles:
28th October 2012 (Sunday)
I was invited to Barbies Maison (a home to Tita Charles and the girls) to have lunch with them and I was told to bring over my stuff which I have pack earlier (though I'm not a fan of packing), and from Seksyen 2, I head to Seksyen 7. There, I was served with tasty food. At 5pm, Sira Batcha arrived with Mr Batcha to fetch us (unintentionally). With the rain pouring like cats and dogs, it is very difficult to move around with a back pack that weight more than 4kg and with a hand luggage. Thank God I have my maid, Sira Batcha, to get my stuff from the back of the car in the rain. A servant will always be a servant. Haha.. Then, we decided to used bus from Seksyen 2 to Padang Jawa's KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu) station.
The four awesome people, all smiling at Bus Stop Section 2.
Sampai sudah di KTM Padang Jawa, now time to pose!
Ni la Tita Ramona Charles @ Tita Charles.
Ni pula Papa Poret. Nak tahan teksi ke pak cik? Salah tempat pak cik.
Ni pula Sira Batcha, my twin sista!
After arriving at the KTM station, we go to Bank Negara. The trip took about more than 25 minutes as it passed more than 10 station from Shah Alam. I was already tired carrying the bags and with the ever changing transportation, as we hop in into an LRT to go to Pudu. As soon as we arrived at Pudu Central, we need to wait for our bus that will bring us to Kuala Perlis (shame on me, I thought Kuala Perlis was in Kedah) that will be departed at 1155pm. We killing that time by having our dinner at the food court then voice out our vocal by karaoke-ing.
Dalam KTM dah. Papa Poret kemain excited bercerita, siap pakai tangan bagai. Ini pula isi hati Sira Batcha, "Bila la dia ni nak habis bercerita? Dah la cerita dia boring. Takpa, buat buat senyum, macam dengar cerita dia."
Tita Charles and me on the opposite of the guys above. Dah penat dah actually.
Ha, dah sampai kat Bank Negara, menunggu LRT menuju ke Pudu. Berdasarkan gambar diatas, nampak sangat dah kepenatan. I pula lapar sangat, habis kot roti yang dibeli utk kitaorang semua, dimakan by myself. Huhu.. Sorry.
Ha, finally dapat gak makanan! Makan bakso dengan teh o ais!
Randomly berjalan, terjumpa this nice background. Stunning. Sedang sibuk bergambar tu, Tita Charles terpijak tahi kucing pulak. Haha..
Sementara tunggu Tita Charles basuh kasut dia, sempat jugak berposing luar jamban tu. I love this picture.
Sementara menunggu waktu bas departing, sempat berkaraoke selama sejam. Ni tengah berduet dengan Tita Charles, si pemijak tahi. Alala, kesian dapat gelaran macam tu. Huhu..
One could wonder, why we don't used the bus express at Seksyen 17. Well, that's because the ticket to Kuala Perlis is sold out there, so that's why we go to Pudu Sentral.
29th October 2012 (Monday)
By the time we supposed to be on the way
to Kuala Perlis, we were told that there’s traffic jam (could be because of the
people who work in KL, came back from the ‘kampung’), so the buses can’t
arrived on time. Can you imagine, the passengers that’s using the 9pm bus,
still not on the way yet. We waited (we camped out outside of the Pudu Sentral
with hundred others passengers) for about four hours for our bus to come (that
was 0330 in the morning!)and that bus is not even our own bus. We used the
1115pm bus because we can’t wait no longer and fortunately, there’s four
available seats.
Sira Batcha pula contain with excitement. Finally, lepas berjam menunggu bas.
Saja membeliakkan mata since Sira Batcha cakap mata tak nampak sebelum ni. Nampak tak sekarang?
All the way from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Perlis, I only managed to woke up when we're at Penang. I saw the signboard to go to the Penang's bridge. Penang, you could be my next destination.
Sleeping beauty. Papa Poret kurang ajar ambik gambar ni senyap-senyap. Nasib i look beautiful, siap bersunglasses lagi.
We arrived at Kuala Perlis around 11am. There, a woman who is an agent for car rental, islands hopping and ferry ticket, approached us. As a reminder to those who will come to Langkawi next time, don't rent the car if you haven't reach the Langkawi Islands itself as there will be much cheaper.
Saja pakai sunglasses, cover mata yang macam panda tu. Tujuh jam kot dalam bas but thanks to my experiences (KUCH - MYY which took about 12 hours), finally sampai Kuala Perlis!
Bergambar di depan jeti Kuala Perlis dan bendera Perlis, so that I ingat lepas ni, Kuala Perlis kat Perlis.
Our journey is not at end yet, ferry is our last transportation to reached the beautiful islands.
Ni dalam feri dah. Not a very comfortable position to be in. Tempat duduk sempit and I wonder how Tita Charles can fall asleep. Dah la dia kehilangan kasut dia (bukan dia sorang saja akan kehilangan barang, will tell you guys as we go deep into this trip).
As soon as we stepped into the island, wow, what a feeling. Finally, after all the struggle, it is really worth it. We finally in LANGKAWI y'all! I love what I see. The clear water is spectacular. I have never seen one like this before. Then, using the car that we rent (drive by Papa Poret and Tita Charles) and a map that I grabbed at a nearest visitor information center, we head to our hotel which we booked earlier.
Sampai sudah di Langkawi!!! Oh my God! Thanks for this opportunity!
Nampak sign "Welcome to Langkawi Islands", apa lagi, posing la.
Sira Batcha menunggu Tita Charles yang pergi berak and Papa Poret yang mengambil kereta sewa.
Posing some more. Kecik nya kaki. Camera angle tu.
Berjalan menuju Bahagia, literally, since kitaorang menuju ke hotel penginapan kitaorang; Hotel Bahagia.
Me and Papa Poret pun tak ketinggalan untuk posing jap, menuju ke kebahagiaan.
The hotel was Hotel Bahagia, at the heart of the town. The room rate was RM95 for a standard room with two single beds and breakfast. We stay there for three days and two night. Lucky Tita Charles and Sira Batcha as their room is upgraded into superior room. Thank God I'm a gentleman.
After we settled in (and taking the so much needed shower), we walk to the nearby restaurant, Ira Recipe, to have our lunch. It was okay. The owner (I guess), is really friendly.
Again, with the help of the map, we head to Makam Mahsuri. Foreigner may not know this story as much as the local. I don't know if Mahsuri's legend is for real or just a fairytale but whatever, she's a legend. We arrived at Kota Mahsuri at 520pm and we're told that the place will be close at 600pm, and with our tight schedule, I suggested that we go inside and used that 30 minutes well. We missed a theater performance regarding the legend, though. We have the opportunity to visit her tomb, house and well.
We managed to visit some souvenir stores outside of the Kota Mahsuri and then we have short photoshoot at a mini house next to paddy field nearby (the house caught my attention for it cuteness).
Before the sun is set, we arrived at the Chenang Beach. Damn. I love the grey and white sand. The sunset was spectacular! I feel calm every time I saw a sunset. Sun is the symbol of life.
After having some bread on the beach, watching as the moon take over, we go to the Chenang Walk where there are dozens of souvenir stores and restaurants at the side of the road. We bought some souvenirs and then head to Restoran Mangga (told by a local as one of the best) for dinner. Too bad, it was close on that day, so decided to eat at Restoran Haji Ramli. There, out of any place in Malaysia, I met Azfar Rahim but we didn't exchanged hello as there is no point at all for me to do so, if we barely tweeted each other on Twitter.
Once we done (I managed to exchanged "kap khun kap" with a worker there) with the dinner, we head back to hotel, ready for tomorrow adventure! Me and Papa Poret did sneaked out late at night, looking for food.
Will be continued.....
Check in! The staff was friendly cuma service agak lambat.
Ni la rupa bilik Superior, bilik si Sira Batcha dengan Tita Charles.

Jamuan I dgn Sira Batcha! Sira Batcha makan burung puyuh. Kejam sangat. Haha..
Jamuan si Tita Charles dengan Papa Poret.

Makam Mahsuri. Rest in peace, gurl. Let go the revenge and hatred.
Kampung Kedah, kawasan perumahan Mahsuri.
Ha, ni la rumah Mahsuri. Agak besar gak rumah ni. Time masuk rumah ni, ada feeling macam masuk rumah panjang. Rumah panjang belah my dad.
Tak berani nak senyum bergambar dengan potret Mahsuri. Ada eerie feeling time masuk rumah ni. Tak tau kenapa. Lagi-lagi dengan buaian kat dalam rumah tu. Menyeramkan sangat. She's gorgeous by the way!
Ni pula telaga Mahsuri. Tempat dia mandi kot. Sempat gak menyapu air telaga tu kat muka. Mudah-mudaha muka i berseri macam Mahsuri lepas ni.
Bergambar depan Kota Mahsuri sebagai bukti pernah menjejakkan kaki di kota Mahsuri.
We managed to visit some souvenir stores outside of the Kota Mahsuri and then we have short photoshoot at a mini house next to paddy field nearby (the house caught my attention for it cuteness).
Sawah padi yang indah luas terbentang. Kemain Sira Batcha berposing, siap dengan prop lagi. Hardcore model ni.
Another picture shot and of course, edited by me.
I'm good behind the camera and in front of the camera cause i'm Tyra Banks y'all!
Before the sun is set, we arrived at the Chenang Beach. Damn. I love the grey and white sand. The sunset was spectacular! I feel calm every time I saw a sunset. Sun is the symbol of life.
Four of us, bergambar berlatarkan sunset yang indah tak terkata.

The sun is gone. Hidup ini macam matahari, kadang-kadang you bersinar terik dan akan sampai suatu masa nanti, senja menjelang.

Sempat posing kat outside of one of the souvenir store.
