My GRAMMY

Y'all know i managed a chart every week (although i only posted it, like, once a month), right? I've been doing it since 2004 and every year end, i would do a list (or should i call it as my own award?) which have 5 nominee for each category. It was almost the same as the Grammy (inspired by it, of course) only the song nominated must enter the chart first. This year is no exception where it entered it 7th year. I do it a day before the announcement of the Grammy's annual nomination reception and try to compare my list with Grammy list, to see where my music taste stand. Seriously. Lol.

Let's start, to see which song and artist make the 2010.

Best Male Vocal Performance

1. Adam Lambert - Time For Miracles

2. Bruno Mars - Grenade

3. Cee-Lo Green - Fuck You/Forget You

4. Greyson Chance - Waiting Outside The Lines

5. Mike Posner - Please Don't Go

Lowdown : Adam, Bruno & Cee-Lo, all nominated for their vocals in Grammy with only Adam & Bruno is nominated with other song (Whataya Want From Me & Just The Way You Are, respectively). So, not bad.

Best Female Vocal Performance

1. Alexandra Burke - The Silence

2. Beyonce - Why Don't You Love Me

3. Carrie Underwood - Cowboy Casanova

4. Katy Perry - Firework

5. Mary J Blige - I Am

Lowdown : Alex is still a stranger in US, so she doesn't get the nomination but she's great. Beyonce, Katy and Carrie all get a nomination for their vocal but for different song (Halo [Live], Teenage Dream & Temporary Home respectively) too. Mary is a legend. She won this category once in 2006 while Carrie been nominated since 2007 consecutively in this category and hadn't won even once.

2. Florence + the Machine - Dogs Day Are Over

3. OneRepublic - Secrets

4. Paramore - The Only Exception

5. Train - Hey, Soul Sister

Lowdown : I got Train & Paramore correct for this part where both of act nominated for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals in Grammy, for the same song. Florence is a magic in MTV's VMA this year.

Best Collaboration Vocal Performance

2. Jay Z / Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind

3. Katharine McPhee / Zachary Levi - Terrified

Lowdown : Charice is one of the most talented singer Asia ever produced. Ricky & Joss are unique combination and surprisingly good. Jay Z & Alicia Keys is already a living legend in music industry (nominated in Best Rap/Sung Collaboration). Katharine and Zachary are too cute to be ignored.

Lowdown : OMFG! I got 3/5 in this category which match Grammy nomination. Recovery and The Fame Monster is a no brainer to be in this list (Gaga even won this category for last year with The Fame). Kesha is no doubt released a great tracklist in the album despite all the garbage image she is portraying.

Lowdown : JLS is the underdogs here. Kesha and Justin Bieber (nominated for Best New Artist in Grammy) is on top of the world.

Lowdown : In Grammy, this is the same as Record of the Year which Love The Way You Lie is nominated.

Lowdown : And in Grammy, this supposed to be called . I got 2 correct for this one. This is actually the second time around for Carrie after she was lost to Miley's The Climb during last year.

Lowdown : Artist nominated in this category is the one who fill my airwaves the most. Eminem is with Not Afraid, Love The Way You Lie, No Love and Airplanes Part 2. Jason DeRulo with Whatcha Say, In My Head, Ridin Solo, What If and The Sky's The Limit. Katy Perry with California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Firework and If We Ever Meet Again. Kesha with Tik Tok, Blah Blah Blah, Your Love Is My Drug, Take It Off, My First Kiss and We R Who We R. Lady Gaga with Bad Romance, Telephone and Alejandro. They all rocks the 2010.

Lowdown : Eminem could easily won this if he have more solo single released but Not Afraid is enough to make he listed.

Lowdown : Lady GaGa is big with Telephone but that was a collaboration, so she is nominated here only for the reason she was releasing Bad Romance & Alejandro as a single, which perform mildly in the chart. If that is the indication, there is a clear winner.

Lowdown : This one tough category cause none of them is deserved to win this. Paramore is okay but they have only one song which is a hit in the chart. OneRepublic is hanging long on the chart but rarely checking the top 10. JLS is not a strong competitor, compare to this senior.

Lowdown : One of the best nominees in a category. We have animation (U2), a comedy (Sugarland), classic country (The Band Perry), a sad pop rock rewind (Paramore) and the ever partying world (BEP).

Lowdown : Surprise nominee here? Nelly Furtado. Its just an adorable music video.

Lowdown : Gaga and CB should just make a video together and dance off with each other, although Gaga will be the freak.
