MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING!!

This is one of the most surprising box office in this decade, grossing nearly USD250millions alone in USA and broke the records of being the movie with highest grossed to never hit #1 spot on Box Office! How amazeBalls (Perez Hilton words)!

Okay, this story tell a story of Toula, who is beyond her Greek age to get married, trying to do something new in her life but her father insist she better get married, give birth because she looks so old (yes!, she even look older than her mother at the first scenes!!). And then (because of her mom) her father changed his mind and let her go out to see the world and guess what? She find her Mr Perfect but the only thing that would make her father say no to the relationship is that, Mr Perfect happen to be not a Greek! As the story goes on, they are getting better which lead to the married!

For me, i love it but not really i've been expected because i imagine it would be more comedy than drama and there is a lot of stories of preparing Toula to get married. I'm wrong. Truth is, this story does have it X Factor that make you want to see it. The acting is balanced and shows a lot of effort. The moral of the stories also show up very well and i guaranteed anyone can absorb.

Some memorable quotes (taken from IMDB) :
Maria Portokalos: Toula, on my wedding night, my mother, she said to me, "Greek women, we may be lambs in the kitchen, but we are tigers in the bedroom."
Toula Portokalos: Eww. Please let that be the end of your speech.

Gus Portokalos: You know, the root of the word Miller is a Greek word. Miller come from the Greek word "milo," which is mean "apple," so there you go. As many of you know, our name, Portokalos, is come from the Greek word "portokali," which mean "orange." So, okay? Here tonight, we have, ah, apple and orange. We all different, but in the end, we all fruit.

Ian Miller: How do you say "thank you" in Greek?
[Nick tells him a Greek phrase: "Oréa viziá." Ian repeats it]
Ian Miller: [English translation] Nice boobs.

Toula Portokalos: Ma, Dad is so stubborn. What he says goes. "Ah, the man is the head of the house!"
Maria Portokalos: Let me tell you something, Toula. The man is the head, but the woman is the neck. And she can turn the head any way she wants.

Toula Portokalos: If nagging were an Olympic sport, my Aunt Voula would win a gold medal!

Toula Portokalos: Why?... Why do you love me?
Ian Miller: Because I came alive when I met you
