83rd Academy Awards

Before i put on the list of the nomination, let me say this. Unbelievable. How do you snubbed one of the best director in the world from Best Achievement in Directing? How? Christopher Nolan deserve a nomination although it is obvious that he won't win. At least a nomination. Then, The Wolfman is an Oscar nominated film. Didn't we have a better nominee than this film?

Anyway, here is the list and my choice on who should win and who will win.

Best Performance By An Actor In A Leading Role
Colin Firth - The King's Speech
James Franco - 127 Hours
Javier Bardem - Biutiful
Jeff Bridges - True Grit
Jesse Eisenberg - The Social Network

the oscar will goes to : This is one the tough category. Everyone deserve to win it. Bridges and Bardem is an Oscar winner. Franco and Eisenberg is a newcomer. Firth nominated last year for his gay roles and snubbed by Oscar. He will win it.
the oscar should goes to : James Franco, since i idolized him and he was beyond great in it. Mark Zuckerberg come in close.

Best Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role
Christian Bale - The Fighter
Geoffrey Rush - The King's Speech
Jeremy Renner - The Town
John Hawkes - Winter's Bone
Mark Ruffalo - The Kids Are All Right

the oscar will goes to : Geoffrey Rush. Though he was beaten by Bale in Golden Globes, Oscar is more 'conservative'. They will pick someone who have the most experience and someone who is close to their age.
the oscar should goes to : Rush, even though i haven't watch that film (the only one i watched is The Kids Are All Right) but he have the strong buzz to have it. Mark Ruffalo and (last year nominee) Jeremy Renner should be happy to be nominated only.
p/s : I still can't believe they left out Andrew Garfield (The Social Network).

Annette Bening - The Kids Are All Right
Jennifer Lawrence - Winter's Bone
Michelle Williams - Blue Valentine
Natalie Portman - Black Swan
Nicole Kidman - Rabbit Hole

the oscar will goes to : Natalie Portman. She won every award she was nominated.
the oscar should goes to : If Oscar want to pull surprised and biggest upset, Annette Bening is the best choice. She was amazing as a lesbian mother. I really believed she is a lesbian in a real life, but no, she have 4 children and a husband. Michelle Williams probably win Oscar too, but on next year Oscar, where she portrays Marilyn Monroe this year.

Helena Bonham Carter - The King's Speech
Jacki Weaver - Animal Kingdom
Melissa Leo - The Fighter

the oscar will goes to : Melissa Leo or Helena Bonham Carter.
the oscar should goes to : Amy Adams. I think its about time for her to win some after numerous nomination before. Hailee Steinfeld (14yo and gorgeous) is another blossoming actress but Oscars believe she will have another opportunity in the future.

Black Swan (8/10)
Inception (10/10)
The Fighter (will watch it if it win)
The Kids Are All Right (8/10)
The King's Speech (will download it this week)
The Social Network (10/10)

Winter's Bone (will watch it if it win)

the oscar will goes to : The Social Network. Only True Grit and The King's Speech are on it way to win.
the oscar should goes to : The Social Network or Inception. Any one of that, i will happy.

So, that is the major category that i most look forward too. Can't wait for 27th February to see how James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosting the event. Both talented and funny. May the best win.

p/s : Will have to wait for 10 more (or more) years for a Malaysia film to be nominated.

Today, I'm going to tell you guys, about my mom which many of my friends do not know. Every time when someone talking about cleaners, i get very sensitive most of the time. My mom, Tida Bo, work as cleaner before i could even reading to support our family. She working in many places before settling down in Shell's Main Office at Miri (not the pumped station, ok?) Here the picture : She work like there was no tomorrow and really hard. Even though, some of her higher education colleagues always look down on her, she never gave up because she know, she still have us to support of. I know, if me and my siblings are already got stable job, never ever she would stay there. Her spirits is always beyond any of us. That's one of the million reasons why she inspired me the most. Page 296 I decided to make a new segment in my blog to celebrate (alasan!) my 4th anniversary as an active blogger which will be so on Nov 19th.
