53rd Grammy 2011 - Is This A Joke?

I might have nothing related to music superstars or maker but as a fan and listener, 53rd Grammy Awards was a total disappointment. Some of the winner are totally deserved it but some are very unknown.

The opening number dedicated to Aretha Franklin was amazing. The girls kick ass and finally, we know Christina is not the only one who have big voice, Yolanda Adams too. Unfortunately, that was it. The show is over after the opening performance!

I even slept at one point when Barbra Streisand about to perform. I get it. She's a legend but i barely hear her voice. Justin Bieber sounds like he is lipsync, but who i am to judge him? I'm not a teenage superstar, not even a star. Usher perform OMG better when he was in Oprah Talk Show, not in Grammy though. Who else? Miranda Lambert was nice. If it wasn't perform at the end of the show, i might dreaming already in my sleep. Lady Gaga was boring. She did better last year. And even better in 2009 MTV VMA singing Paparazzi. Lost the idea, eh? BTW, she didn't even finish dressing up her raincoat at the end and left it hanging on one side of her alien pointing shoulder. Eminem was great but i didn't get the chill he gave to me when he performed with Drake and Lil Wayne, like last year. For Rihanna to performed twice at different minutes was out of control. I like how she seduced sexy Drake but i think US have a lots of artist who can fill up a performance slot. The only one who is closer to the perfectness is Mick Jagger. Damn, That old man is a masterpiece. His voice is maintain and his showmanship is worth the watch. No wonder his concert with Rolling Stone always sold out.

Before the event, i already expected Arcade Fire and Esperanza Spalding to win something. They did. And they crushed some big names like Justin Bieber, Drake, Lady In The Egg, Katy Perry and Eminem.

Anyway, the director of the awards is SUCK, big time. The camera were all over places and sometimes never near the places. The people who handling the prop can be seen while artist are performing.

Overall, Pink still the best performer after a year performing at the same stage!
