Review : Notes On A Scandal


Friday is here! And i'm kinda on a movie mood lately. Lost the mood in February. Yeah, the mood comes and go. Let's roll the movie but before that, let me tell you a bit about this movie. This is a movie (nominated for 4 Oscars in 2007) about a teacher who likes a teacher. She write her feeling in a note (as the film title suggest). Kinda bored? Wait till you see it for yourself. Its get very intense and sick.

Me live-blogging when i watched it (the number is the minutes of the movie):

9.20 : Wow, is the older women likes the younger women? Lesbian eh?
9.40 : Judi Dench is damn good. Is she won an Oscar yet?
11.00 : Creepy!
11.32 : "One must make an effort, when one received an invitation." Like!
13.02 : She's married! Time to break your heart, old lady.
15.00 : Babs is so mouthy.
19.47 : She's so in love with Sheba! Even imagine they would be a companion! This is an unsual movie.
21.22 : Ooh, oral sex? Teacher and student! Bummer!
22.37 : If i were Babs, i will have a trauma!
23.38 : Old teacher loved young teacher. Young teacher loved young student. This is sick and interesting!
25.30 : Young student "You suck?" Lol.. But he is good looking. I'm just saying.
26.59 : Eww!
27.25 : "But" is not a helpful word here." Like!
28.30 : Is this will happen when a very loyalful wife for her entire life and start to getting tired of it? Then she start making out with other man?
30.01 : They kissed. Is that boy really a 15 years old?
30.30 : Gross.
32.19 : The sex continued. Gross.
32.58 : Now i like Babs more than Sheba. Sheba is grosser than Babs.
34.32 : Babs is playing the game. Taking the opportunity.
36.47 : Aww. Its Christmas Eve! I miss it! I want Christmas right now!
41.30 : Kissing the boy, in front of her house, with all of the families, inside! That's sick!
43.00 : So, Babs family know that she's a lesbian. Babs dated ex-teacher in the school too.
43.20 : Back to the sex scenes again? The boy just cum inside her.
44.20 : Okay, this is too much. Having sex in the art gallery? She said she don't want to meet the boy again. And yet, they keep making sex.
45.10 : The boy is naked. I know my BFF won't watch this movie. lol..
47.37 : Sheba's boob on the spot. Blame it on Babs. She's trying to make a move. Pervert old lady.
48.44 : I know Barbara's game right now. Barbara won't tell the school about the Sheba's sex scandal, in return, Sheba must entertain her too! Nice game.
49.19 : Is Babs jealous over Sheba & Steven relationship? I can guess.
54.00 : "She's the one i've waited for." Babs said that.
57.27 : Babs' is dying. Sad.
58.15 : Babs is playing rough. Threatened Sheba. Now i back to liking Sheba.
59.34 : Babs is the crazy one!
1.04.26 : Babs is spilling the beans to other teacher.
1.06.50 : Someone is coming! Beware Sheba.
1.07.41 : Bitch fight! Sheba is beaten. Now we know its an Oscar material.
1.08.30 : Sheba is fighting with his husband. Intense. While Babs grinning.
1.10.30 : Babs is annoyingly old grandma.
1.14.42 : I can't believed Babs is still trying to win Sheba.
1.17.14 : Eww! Babs is trying to touch Sheba!
1.18.53 : Ooh yeah! Sheba found a piece of the notes that Babs is written.
1.20.13 : No wonder this movie is nominated for Best Original Score, totally deserved the recognition.
1.20.51 : Slap that bitch! Slap her!
1.20.55 : Yes! Again!
1.21.25 : Babs is Crazy!
1.22.04 : "You bitter old virgin!" Actually i kinda feel sad to see an old woman being beaten by person but its totally okay cause its a movie scenes. Lol.. Beat her more, slam her on the wardrobe!
1.22.46 : Cate Blanchett is a very good actress! I wonder who stole her Best Supporting Actress award.
1.25.52 : I really think Babs should start using Blogger, instead of on a diary. Lol..
1.26.34 : Babs found another victim. I'm disgusted with her, totally.
1.28.00 : Urgh, when will this old grandma repent?

Before that, sorry for my foul language. I think this movie is a worth to watch movie. Its unique and live it up to it Oscar nominations. The music score is very nice, pump out your ear and emotions. Screenplay was brilliant. I love the used of the words in this film. Overall, i gave it 10/10. Yeah, it was that good. Definitely recommended.

p/s : I did have some feelings toward my teacher back when i'm a student but it wasn't till i need to have sex with them kind of feeling. I respect them as my educator. One who taught me what my parents can't. Don't fall in love with you teachers, y'all. Its bad for you and for the teacher. And teacher, you do the same too. R.E.S.P.E.C.T each other.

Today, I'm going to tell you guys, about my mom which many of my friends do not know. Every time when someone talking about cleaners, i get very sensitive most of the time. My mom, Tida Bo, work as cleaner before i could even reading to support our family. She working in many places before settling down in Shell's Main Office at Miri (not the pumped station, ok?) Here the picture : She work like there was no tomorrow and really hard. Even though, some of her higher education colleagues always look down on her, she never gave up because she know, she still have us to support of. I know, if me and my siblings are already got stable job, never ever she would stay there. Her spirits is always beyond any of us. That's one of the million reasons why she inspired me the most. Page 296 I decided to make a new segment in my blog to celebrate (alasan!) my 4th anniversary as an active blogger which will be so on Nov 19th.
