Exercise, Diabetes & Exam Result
Written on 22nd February 2012
Hey y’all! I’m pretty good at this very day. I got
three news for you guys.
First, last week I was weighing at 66.5kg or pretty
much hit 67kg, that 0.5kg made it a little bit lighter. Haha, so this week or
two days ago, I was 66kg! I didn’t lose much but as long as it didn’t increase,
I am blessed. This week I am going to push myself over the limit. I start doing
the stairs and add a bit intensity to my workout. My legs hurt so much that I
can’t do my famous runway walk, like I have any. I hope I will be 63 or 62kg by
the end of the holiday because one of my favorite pants is size at 29 and I am
confident I can’t fit in it with this holiday figure. In case that didn’t
happen, at least I live a healthy life.
Today I have my mom at home; she’s on leave because
she has an appointment with the doctor. She do asked me to go with her but I am
lazy to go to the town, beside it will cost a lot if I join anyway. The bus fee
is no jokes. One way is RM3.60, so imagine it for two ways and times two,
that’s a lot. Anyway, she told me that the doctor discovered that she have
diabetes. My late dad was a diabetes patient too; he was known to have it back
in 2005. Now that my parents have history with diabetes, it put us to a risk.
We have to really take care of our sugar intake. I always advise my mom about
the sugar or salt intake but she was like;
“If we don’t have sugar or salt, we will die.”
Since she is my mom, I can’t say more but now that
this is happening, I don’t know what to say. When she told me that she has
diabetes, I remind her again and she reply with the same statement. She has that
stubbornness as me. All I can do is to keep remind her of that and watch her,
as long as I am beside her. I hope my siblings will have the same concern as
me. Jacq is pretty good, she is just like me, she drinks Milo with no sugar.
Lyn is on the fence, she is underweight. Mike, I don’t know, I haven’t met him
since last September. The last time I saw him, he was no smoker and he is now,
according to Lyn. As for me, I do have a good shot to have diabetes as I was a
heavy sweet sensation fan, trust me, I slept with sugar bed, not literally
though. I did changed that behavior but I don’t know if it worth it.
Let’s go the third news. According to my manager,
Imah, I passed my first semester exam. Congrats to me. Before she told me the
result, I warned her to not reveal to me the grades and the number because I
don’t want to see the reality. All I want her to tell me is that whether I
dismissed or not from being a UiTM student. Thank God, I still can proceed with
my study because I don’t have a plan B if I didn’t pass. Anyway, thanks to my
manager for checking it out for me. I trust you and gave you all of my
passwords, so hopefully you won’t break the trust and I know you will not.
Nanti I belanja you, okay?
p/s: Syukur, rezeki masih ada. Thanks to those that
help me achieving this feat whether directly or indirectly, especially the
lecturers with the knowledge and support that you guys gave to me and my group
mates, Tita, Mazni, Stanley, Hamid and Joe, for the teamwork spirit, I wouldn’t
have this without the help and the time from you guys. Thanks to my love ones;
my family, my bff and my so-called bf for inspiring me and believe in me. Thank
you so much! ß
